Penalties

Statute
Code of Ala. 1975, Title 8, Chapter 26B (Revised Uniform Athlete Agents Act (2016); Act 2016-415, eff. Oct. 1, 2016, repealing the 2001 Chapter 26A)
'Student athlete' (§ 8-26B-2(17)) covers 'any interscholastic or intercollegiate sport'; 'educational institution' includes elementary and secondary schools - HIGH SCHOOL COVERED. 'Athlete agent' reaches compensated advisory and business-management roles. Sharp contrast with the NIL side: Alabama's HS association BANS NIL, yet its agent act regulates HS-facing agents with felony teeth.
NIL interaction
Alabama's NIL provisions are folded INTO this same chapter as Article 3 ('Compensation of Student Athletes', §§ 8-26B-50 to -57, incl. § 8-26B-52 'Professional Representation of Student Athlete') - confirmed by table of contents only; the current Article 3 text and its enactment/repeal history were NOT directly read. Do not publish Article 3 detail without a direct pull.
