This page is a plain-language placeholder written by the operator of this site, not by a lawyer, and it has not been reviewed by counsel. It describes how we intend to operate. It is not a substitute for a reviewed terms of service, and it makes no certification or compliance claim. If you need a definitive answer before signing up, contact us and ask.
Who we are
Athlete Contact operates this recruiting platform. "We"/"us" means Athlete Contact; "you" means the person using it.
Who may create an account
An athlete profile account must be created and held by a parent or legal guardian when the athlete is under 18. An athlete 18 or older may hold their own account. Coaches create their own coach accounts. You agree the information you give us is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.
What the service does
- Stores the profile information you enter (film links, measurables, stats, academics, contact details) and shows it according to the visibility you choose.
- Lets you send a profile to specific coaches, and lets verified coaches on our platform view profiles that are shared with them.
- Passes messages and requests between families, coaches and our staff.
Privacy and visibility are your choice
Profiles are private by default. We do not publish an athlete profile publicly unless the account holder elects to and a signed consent is on file. You may return a profile to private, or revoke access you previously granted, at any time.
What we ask of you
- Don't upload content you don't have the rights to, or content about someone else without their permission.
- Don't misrepresent an athlete's or coach's record, identity or eligibility.
- Don't use the platform to harass anyone, or to scrape or resell data.
- Coaches: keep information you're given about an athlete confidential and use it only for recruiting.
Free and paid services
The athlete profile described on our free profile page is free to create and keep. Optional premium services are priced separately and described to you before you buy. We make no guarantee of any recruiting outcome — no platform can promise offers, scholarships or exposure, and we don't.
NIL
Where the platform documents an NIL arrangement, we are documenting a deal between you and a brand — we are not a party to it. NIL rules differ by state, school, district and association, and coaching contracts may restrict outside income. You are responsible for clearing any deal with your school, association and, if applicable, your own counsel.
Ending your account
You may delete your profile at any time from your dashboard, or ask us to delete it. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. On deletion we remove the profile from all viewing surfaces; some records may persist in backups for a limited period.
The legal bits, honestly
The service is provided as-is. We work to keep it accurate and available but we don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The governing law, dispute-resolution, limitation-of-liability and indemnity terms for this service have not yet been drafted or reviewed by counsel and will be added here after legal review. We're not going to invent them in a placeholder.
Changes
We'll update this page when the service or the reviewed terms change, and we'll change the "last updated" date above.
